Assistant Teachers/Facilitators

We are seeking teachers with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for the role of Assistant STEAM teacher. Candidates should be creative, demonstrate empathy, and have good written and verbal communication skills along with excellent classroom management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with ISR partner schools and ISR facilitators to review and integrate Experiential Learning STEAM lessons that are age-appropriate.
  • Provide required teaching support and consultation; monitors Experiential Learning STEAM instructional programs in schools.
  • Collect and analyse data on the effect of STEAM integration on student content knowledge and problem-solving ability.
  • Attending to individual student needs and monitoring student growth to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications
BEd degree with or without teaching experience, but additional endorsements in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts or mathematics preferred. Must be flexible and open to new methodologies of teaching and facilitation.

Junior and Senior STEAM Facilitators

ISR Facilitators are responsible for the facilitation of 6 to 17 year aged children in a variety of Mechatronics, Robotics, Drones, Coding, IOT, Art and Architecture activities in schools. Facilitators are provided with curricula, supplies, additional facilitator (if the number of learners are more than 20 in a session), and adequate training. Facilitators should be able to provide additional lessons and activities as needed to create an engaging, well-paced experience for learners.

We place a strong emphasis on providing an exceptional experiential learning programme to every learner in any of our programs. The programme is a full year academic programme or weekly or daily workshops. All staff members, at every level and in all departments, are a critical part of providing this level of experience. Candidates selected for employment with receive training and be expected to consistently contribute to creating an exceptional experience to all learners and associates.

Responsibilities
Facilitator attends all facilitator trainings, reviews curricula, sets up maker space, and facilitates programme activities in a safe, fun and exciting manner. In addition, facilitators work with support staff to ensure maintenance of equipment and materials, coordinate with the school authorities and will deliver seamless experience to all learners.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics with good communication and collaboration skills. Knowledge and understanding of components and troubleshooting in a hands-on practical session, flexibility to adjust activities/training session to include participants of different ages; a thorough knowledge of Electronics in order to participate in developing classroom STEAM programme; a passion for teaching/facilitation; communication skills to conduct facilitating sessions in a clear and concise manner is required. liking towards interacting with learners in the age group of 6-17 years, 1-2 years of STEM facilitation experience or an inquiry-based and experiential teaching techniques in schools preferred. Successful candidate should commit for a minimum period of 1 academic year after training.

STEAM Instructional Designers

ISR Instructional Designers provide engaging, project based lesson plans that incorporate the 4C’s of creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaboration to students K-12 across multiple STEAM(science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) areas.  Selected candidates are required to work in our R&D Centre and will be provided with suitable training in ISR STEAM Process and Deliverables. They are required to travel to various locations to train ISR Facilitators and implement STEAM Education projects when need arises.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collaborates with ISR facilitators to review and develop STEAM curriculum materials and instructional plans in order to integrate STEAM lessons that are age-appropriate.
  • Provides direct support to the ISR classroom facilitators by coaching and modelling the effective integration of STEAM lessons, increase their content knowledge in STEAM education and teaches new instructional strategies through consultations and lesson modelling.
  • Collaborates with Instructional Specialists and Technologists in the development and implementation of programs, events and instructional practices that will increase the number and variety of STEAM experiences for all students.
  • Assists with the review and identification of quality instructional materials and monitors various forms of documentation and records regarding STEAM integration and learning. Collects and uses data to make instructional decisions related to curriculum and instruction; monitors and assess curriculum, instruction and program effectiveness, and recommends and implements improvements to curriculum, instruction and program effectiveness based on on-going analysis of data.
  • Visits classrooms if required for teaching support and consultation; monitors STEAM instructional programs in the school; collects and analyses data on the effect of STEAM integration on student content knowledge and problem-solving ability.
  • 
Maintains an inventory of materials to support the collection and organisation of supplies necessary for teaching in a STEAM setting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of the concepts, principles and methodologies of elementary math and science. Ability to deliver articulate oral presentations and well written communication and to react effectively. Working skill in the use of technology including word processing, spreadsheet etc. (Word, Power Point and Excel preferred). Demonstrated ability to organize, schedule and monitor work assignments and to train and advise staff. Demonstrated ability in decision-making, problem analysis, conflict resolution, interpersonal relationships, program management, research and planning and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Computer Science or Creative Arts. Experience or additional endorsements in the areas of science, technology, engineering or arts preferred. Prior experience developing or evaluating curriculum, serving as an instructional coach or other experience which demonstrates progressive responsibility is strongly preferred.

Marketing and Sales Executives
