The colours of the mind

The mind holds a lot; but its impact depends on what is unleashed by Imagination, that conceals its deepest powers.

Intriguing facets of Imagination

Imagination is intangible, but it can lead to something constructive and useful for humankind. One can get inspiration for imagination from multiple sources, even those which are apparently mechanical and uninteresting. As children we recall that the simplest of objects have sparked our imagination. It’s a time when our minds are open, unburdened by the constraints of reality, and free to dream without limits. As we embrace our innate ability to imagine, we open the door to a world of infinite possibilities, As we grow older, we may be tempted to let go of our imaginative tendencies, focusing on the practical and logical aspects of life. However, nurturing our ability to imagine is crucial, not just for creativity, but for our well-being.

Instances of Imagination in everyday life

Imagination spells out and draws pictures before our eyes that are not captured otherwise. For instance, children can well understand the consecutive circles or shells of electrons and protons without having to disintegrate the atoms. Imagination is when we see the solar system in front of your eyes when the teacher explains it. Even when we judge a person as we them, it is an act of imagination. Imagination lies in our fashion sense and even in our handwriting; one imagines how one would look in that dress, imagine what would happen if you pull the tail of the letter ‘Y’ a little more that it resembles an animal’s tail, and so forth.

The time trajectory of Imagination

The power of our imagination fades with time. . Our brains get inactive because we get tied by the chains of reality. It actually implies we get detached from our own world and get attached to the real world lying ahead of us. As we grow the innocence and purity of our imaginations gradually dies, replaced with logic. We will question. Fanciful imagination of childhood, such as thinking of clouds as ice cream or the sky as the vast ocean with its creatures as birds, no longer occur to us. Life’s demands and responsibilities often overshadow our sparks of creativity. Learning more about the ways of the world makes us more skeptical, allowing our imagination to fade away.
